Congregants must use Gospel to fight corruption: Cardinal via SABCNewsOnline

Cardinal Wilfred Napier says he is grateful that many things have improved in the last 25 years.

The cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church Wilfred Napier says congregants must use the Gospel to fight corruption as money which could be used to create jobs is being stolen. He has addressed thousands of Catholic congregants at the feast day celebration of the blessed Benedict Daswa held at Tshitanini village outside Thohoyandou in Limpopo.

Daswa was stoned to death in 1990 for his Catholic beliefs and also for refusing to contribute money to pay for a sangoma with the intention of sniffing out a witch.“Let me just remind you what has happened in the last 25 years. Many things have improved. As I flew into Polokwane, I notice a whole village of new RDP houses, I saw lot of places where they have obviously chicken farms so people are getting employment.

Thousands of Catholic congregants from various part of the country and also from neighbouring countries attended the celebration. One congregant says that they are very excited. “The importance of this is that it is reminding us of five years ago in 2015. Now we are seeing the fruits of that. It is reminding us of what has happened some years back when we gathered here commemorating the death, the passion of vho-Benedict Daswa. I never thought this will happen in this magnitude so we are just over the moon; we are excited we are very happy.”

Mother of all corruption...where and how does Vatican generate its wealth?

They will listen to the Congregations, as they does not scared to the country laws, But pensioners are pledging in churches, first let them say pensioners must not throw money in some things that are for fun.
