It said recently a message has been circulating on WhatsApp using ASNB’s logo with the intention of deceiving the public into investing in a scheme that did not exist.
The con artist would then claim that the money would be invested in oil, stock and currency markets, and that investors would only need to wait for the profits to be credited directly into their accounts. It said that as a unit fund management company, it has never appointed any individual to offer any investment packages either directly or through any social messaging applications, including WhatsApp.
ASNB advised those who wish to invest in any of its unit trust funds to visit any ASNB branch or agent to open an investment account with their original IC.
