The items seized from Obyu Holdings by the MACC for allegedly being linked to the 1MDB scandal included jewellery, watches, handbags and cash in various denominations, amounting to more than RM114 million.

The money and jewellery were seized by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for allegedly being linked to the 1MDB scandal. Lawyer Fazreen Hazrina Rahim, representing Najib and Umno, told the High Court that it would prejudice her clients if the court refused to have a separate hearing for forfeiture of the money and jewellery as inspection of the jewellery was still not possible at this time.

Judge Muhammad Jamil Hussin then set Nov 25 to hear the application by Najib and Umno, saying that the application was not prejudicial to the prosecution.
