Naira maintains gain at official market

The naira gained slightly against the U.S. dollar at the I&E window of the foreign exchange market on Thursday, as foreign exchange supply rose significantly.

The currency’s performance represents a N0.25 or 0.06 per cent appreciation from N411.25, the rate it traded in the previous on Wednesday. The forex turnover on Thursday soared by 229.24 per cent, with $110.46 million recorded as against the $33.55 million posted in the previous session on Wednesday.Meanwhile, the naira remained stable at the official market.
