New freestanding internal walls have been added and lined with Tyfix insulation. The thatched roof was replaced circa 2008, and consists of 14” thatch, a corrugated metal layer, 4” insulation, foil backed plasterboard and timber panelling. Up the wrought iron steps to the mezzanine you’ll find pin flooring and a set of twin beds. In between, there’s a charming little window looking out onto the grounds outside. The main bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with painted timber panelling, maple floor, and a decorative fireplace with a sealed chimney.
