SpaceX facility going up near The Boring Company in Texas Hill Country city of Bastrop

A SpaceX facility is under construction next to The Boring Company in Bastrop on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022.BASTROP — SpaceX has begun constructing a half-million-square-foot building on a rural property in Bastrop, right across the street from where another Elon Musk-owned business venture, The Boring Company, has taken up residence.

It’s being referred to officially as “Project Echo” in TDLR filings, although project site documents located on the property itself list the operator as Space Exploration Technologies Corp., more commonly known as SpaceX. “Prufrock II emerging from the ground,” Musk said of the video, which is TBC’s next generation of tunnel-boring machines.
