A preliminary investigation by Eskom has found that two controversial KwaZulu-Natal construction companies violated competition laws when bidding for work running into hundreds of millions at the power utility. | vercingetorics

The investigation by Eskom's Forensic and Anti-Corruption Unit two months ago shows Aqua Transport and Ekene Investments violated Section 4 of the Competition Act, which bars competing companies from collusive tendering, fixing prices, and dividing markets.

Company registration records show Aquin Naicker is the director of Ekene Investments, while his parents, Kevin and Elaine Naicker, are directors of Aqua.
