Sydney's Northern Beaches residents were told to keep their windows and doors closed on Monday night as firefighters worked to contain the massive factory blaze.

Residents on Sydney’s Northern Beaches were told to keep windows and doors closed as “thick smoke” filled the night sky in Brookvale.

At least 16 fire engines, which included three aerial and ladder appliances, rushed to the tyre and mechanical workshop as it became engulfed by flames.Video footage of the giant fire was caught on camera by local residents as they expressed concern that it was “too big” for firefighters to put out.
