One inspector found bird faeces and dead flies in multiple locations of one business

Nine food businesses in Ireland were hit with enforcement orders last month, with one business temporarily closed due to rat droppings found on dinner plates and another temporarily closed where bird poo was found on food products

Closure orders were served under the European Union Regulations, 2020 on each of the following: The Bernard Shaw in Glasnevin, Dublin, McSorley's Centra in Enniscorthy, Dalesann Haulage Limited in Jamestown Business Park, Paddy O'Dwyer Quality Meats Ltd. in Cashel, and Mizzoni Pizza in Navan. The Bernard Shaw suffered serious flooding of the floor of the basement, including the staff toilets, as well as the ceilings heavily soiled in 'dirt and black mould'.
