KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 — The allocation for the Plantation and Commodities Ministry was increased to RM732.7 million in Budget 2024 after taking into consideration feedback from the industry, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

“Among the areas of focus is obviously related to the new economy as prescribed in the budget, biomass — how to use the country’s recyclable wastes to generate revenue for businesses and the nation. “We have to work to ensure compliance with international standards and regulations so that we can market and distribute our products widely overseas,” he said.
