Cyclists are Shifting This Spanish City’s Real-Estate Market Into High Gear

Lior Marcovici first visited Girona in northeast Spain in January 2017 to attend a cycling training camp. The Israeli property developer, amateur cyclist and triathlete immediately took to the historical Catalan town’s weather, its pristine roadways, the people, the food and its relaxed atmosphere. After returning three more times to cycle, he knew he had found the perfect place to realize his dream of living abroad.

He and his business partner, Ron Baron, who ran the training camp, also decided they had found the right location...
