As a global shortage of protective gear for health workers battling thepandemic continues, African countries are now looking for home-made solutions to continue saving lives.

The Ma Foundation’s donations include 1.1 million testing kits, six million masks and 60 000 protective suits and face shields. The consignment could not have come at a better time. “The chronic global shortage of personal protective equipment is now one of the most urgent threats to our collective ability to save lives. The WHO has shipped almost two million items of protective gear to 74 countries that need it most and we’re preparing to send a similar amount to a further 60 counties. But much more is needed. This problem can only be solved with international cooperation and international solidarity. When health workers are at risk, we are all at risk.

Good grief why are African countries soooo slow

It is do simple to make a face mask. Where are all unemployed who never can find a job? Now you have a perfect opportunity.

if KENYA can do this ...why can't we ...is it AA = Absent Activity ? bcoz of BEE = Buy Everything Elsewhere (especially from China) ? Re-industrialize & use our industrial might ...for the benefit of OUR PEOPLE ..masks, gloves, ventilators, googles, protective suits, sanitizers

The situation in eMbalenhle, Secunda is really out of hand. Cars and people roaming the streets as if nothing has happened. People walking in groups. Cars full of people others even drinking. Local mini taxis loaded with full passengers.

haven't you tried God but this what you get for not listening to the lion close all flights before it reaches Africa no you didn't disassociate from white people you refuse this what blacks get for disobedience white people are demonic
