People buying necessities at Chowkit market in Kuala Lumpur this evening. Former prime minister Najib Razak has urged that small traders be given more aid.
“Take a look at the Covid-19 situation a week from now before making a decision,” he said in an online posting tonight. Najib questioned whether Malaysia’s economy could survive a shutdown as long as the 11 weeks in Wuhan city and Hubei province, China, where the coronavirus outbreak began.
