"GTA" maker Rockstar Games has yet to officially announce a sequel to 2013's "Grand Theft Auto 5," and representatives did not respond to a request for comment on this report as of publishing.It's been nearly seven years since the last major "Grand Theft Auto" game launched, and the game remains a juggernaut.
That said, Rockstar's history across the past decade paints a pretty clear picture of what's to come. Besides a publishing deal Rockstar made with an outside development studio to publish 2011's "L.A. Noire", the company has a steady cadence of one major game launch every two to three years — sometimes it goes even longer, as in the five-year gap between "GTA 5" and "Red Dead Redemption 2."
