Meet the billionaire behind the Taiwanese company building a $12 billion semiconductor factory in Arizona:

Chang, who has U.S. citizenship, also kick started his career in the world’s largest economy. Born in mainland China, Chang moved to Hong Kong during the Chinese Civil War, before landing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering. He then spent a quarter century working at Texas Instruments, rising to group vice president responsible for its worldwide semiconductor business.
