COVID-19 has become an accelerator of change, but it cannot be blamed for the woes that have afflicted the industry for decades.

Media analysts have previously attributed the decline in spending to a weak economy, low industrial production and reduced consumer sentiment. These factors have worsened since the pandemic.

As social distancing restrictions were put in place, announcements from ASX-listed media companies became more frequent.

zoesam93 You are not giving serious readers what they want. You need to give both sides or a story, the context and where relevant an historical summary. Balance and objectivity lacking - ideology and indulgence of the publisher and writers the focus; the reader should be the focus.
