Delta and United are resuming flights to China for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak began

On Thursday, Delta operated its. The flight was set to operate from Seattle to Shanghai via Seoul, South Korea. At press time, the plane was en route from Seoul for the second segment of the flight.

The stop in Seoul is designed to prevent crewmembers from having to disembark or lay over in China, due to the risk of potential quarantine requirements, according toAlso this week, United announced that it would resume its first flight to China since early February, starting on July 8. The airline will start with two flights a week between San Francisco and Shanghai, using Boeing 777-300ER jets.
