Starbucks will become the first national restaurant chain to require all customers to wear masks in stores

Starbucks is set to become the first national restaurant chain to require customers to wear masks in locations.

"In our continued effort in prioritizing the health and well-being of partners and customers, beginning on July 15, we will be requiring customers to wear facial coverings while visiting all company-owned café locations in the US," Starbucks representative Reggie Borges said in a statement to Business Insider on Thursday.

Starbucks employees will not be instructed to refuse to serve customers who are not wearing masks. Instead, they will be asked to wear a mask or directed towards other ordering options such as drive-thru or curbside pickup. as has been a growing concern at restaurants and retailers . If 95% of the US population wore face masks in public, the country could prevent roughly 33,000 COVID-19 deaths, according to a model from the University of Washington.

Not congrat.

That’s some bullshit you want humanity to interfere with their natural breathing process wearing masks is the most ridiculous thing in this century

So true! acraftyarab My teen is upset she can't hang out at Starbucks with her buddies, so I burned her some coffee, threw a 3 month old candy candy in it, yelled her name wrong for a solid 20 seconds & stole $10 out of her wallet

Public Health and Safety.

I'm an Expat overseas. Next to American Samoa which is only US soil with ZERO cases, and everyone in American Samoa has to wear facemasks. And they dont have any deaths or infections. What took so long to do this?
