China's Foreign Ministry accuses the US of abusing export control measures under the pretext of protecting human rights.

China is accusing the United States of trying to "suppress Chinese companies" after the US added 11 of them to an economic blacklist because of human rights abuses against Muslim minorities. The US believes some Chinese companies are using forced labour by Muslim minorities, including UyghursThis comes after alleged human rights violations in connection with the treatment of Uyghurs in Xinjiang in western China.

"Beijing actively promotes the reprehensible practice of forced labour and abusive DNA collection and analysis schemes to repress its citizens," Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said in a statement. At an earlier briefing, responding to British claims of "gross" human rights abuses against Muslim minorities, Mr Wang described the allegations as "nothing but rumours and slander".

China is estimated to have detained at least 1 million people from Muslim ethnic minority groups in internment camps.

First of all there's 3 million Uyghur muslims in camps not 1 million and second corporate monopolies like Apple, Nike etc are in on the game with the CCP. This is complete BS and lip service.

If they have killed hundreds of random people at rail way station , on shopping street, why they can’t be arrested? Just because they are Uyghur they get exemption? All lives matter!

China’s rhetoric toward all other nations seems to follow a pattern of warning not to travel down the wrong path. I’m just assuming here that the wrong path must be opposing China’s coercive, bullying, underhanded, thieving activity’s?

Doubt Trump even know where this city is & where Uyghur are from. of course it’s not about human rights, it’s all part of their strategy to keep the US the top.

You know their economy is in big trouble when they actually ask for this. CCP members desperate not to lose their corrupt dollars selling slave labour products overseas. Time for Australian government to seize CCP assets and fight for human rights. FreeUyghurs

Pot calls the kettle black. Who is really making the mistakes here?

Australia must also stop dealing with any Chinese companies or SOE involved in the UyghurGenocide. Xinjiang

Perhaps it’s China that needs to ‘correct its mistakes’ given it has imprisoned millions of Uyghur Muslims for indoctrination, engaged in forced sterilisations and abortions, and separated families all in an act of systemic cultural genocide.

When you treat humans (in this case the Uighur’s) as if they have no right to exist, you can’t then complain that rich members of the CCP have been economically blacklisted. More countries need to take a similar stance.

USA is nothing special when it comes to human rights ( appalling abuses , 3rd world conditions for a large part of the USA's population ) . Get your own house in order before lecturing others USA.

Come on people and journalists. Think. This has nothing to do with 'evil China' and everything about US wanting to continue to dominate world.

And we’re supposed to listen to a communist state because they’re unhappy? Only if you’re Twiggy Forest

Hey yeah, yeah that's cool! I've heard this one before. *ahem* 'Reactor number 4 is fine, Comrades!'. 😃👍

It's kind of like the ending of a low budget comedy where all the people gather around the bully who's sitting in a puddle with egg on his face shouting empty threats at everyone.
