Onions are being recalled in the US and Canada due to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened at least 516 people in the US and Canada. The US Food and Drug Administration is investigating a salmonella outbreak linked to Thomson International red onions. The FDA has identified 396 cases of salmonella across the US. As of Friday, 59 people had been hospitalized.
