European airline investors had a turbulent 2020 to say the least, as the coronavirus pandemic caused volatility throughout the year.
They said consensus expectations were for traffic to hit 80% of 2019’s capacity by next summer on short-haul, and 60% on long-haul. “We see the recovery being more elongated, truncated and jagged than expected,” they said, citing the views of a number of airlines and suppliers.
