Inside wealthy kids' weird, pricey pandemic purchases, from $1,000 Patagonia fleeces to a $31.8 million T. rex

Sixteen-year old Andrew Park sold a basketball trading card of Giannis Antetokounmpo for $1.8 million in 2020.teamed up with collector Nat Turner on a $700 million deal to take the collectibles authentication company Collectors Universe private. "The same collectors who are buying mint-condition cards might now be sitting on a $20,000 or $30,000 Hulk Hogan card." Consumers are also nostalgic for luxury retail and are snapping up vintage finds.
