In December, the British Oil & Gas Authority published a requirement that oil and gas development be “consistent with net zero” . BP, Shell and other multinational companies have all now published their “net zero” pathways.

Honestly, many of the big oil companies will eventually transition to low impact energy sources. Not because they care about the environment but because it will make them money when oil revenues drop.
