LG's board approved the shift in strategy and the company expects to fully exit the mobile phone business by the end of July, it said in a statement. It was still No. 3 in North America, with a 13% market share behind Apple's 39% and Samsung's 30% as of the third-quarter of 2020, according to Counterpoint Technology Market Research.
The issues that some of their phones had after 3+ months of use was hard to overlook, but I'll always appreciate them for daring to be different.

'In the United States, LG has targeted mid-priced - if not ultra-low - models and that means Samsung, which has more mid-priced product lines than Apple, will be better able to attract LG users,' said Ko Eui-young, an analyst at Hi Investment & Securities.
