They are calling on Health Ministry to speed up the immunisation programme for them.

Vegetable trader Tan Chu Kun, 48, said the market’s management team had compiled the names of all the traders to facilitate a group vaccination exercise.

Chu Kun suggested that the vaccination exercise for traders and workers at PBP be conducted through the vaccine truck programme similar to the one sent to the wholesale market in Selayang, Kuala Lumpur. Mohd Farriq believes that traders and workers will be glad to come back even on a Sunday to get vaccinated.“The vaccine is not a guarantee to prevent Covid-19 infection, but it does give us some protection as we deal with customers on a daily basis,’’ he said.

Bean curd and tempeh seller Tan Heong Chun is still waiting for her vaccination date since registering via the MySejahtera app in March.
