PETALING JAYA: Dr Wong Shaw Voon has been appointed as the new chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (Miros) effective Saturday (Feb 5).

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong congratulated Wong and welcomed him to the post on a Facebook post on Saturday .

"Wong is no stranger to the transportation and engineering industry of Malaysia as the former director-general and board member of Miros.
