Government needs to do the same! Way too many overpaid and under worked resources there too. In the short term its bad, but long ter, more capital investment will then be possible and that makes the country more investor friendly, which creates real jobs!
Eskom is not an employment creator. It is a business that has to turn a profit and it has a bloated and inefficient workforce. Retrenchments are sad no doubt, but the taxpayer cannot be expected to fit the bill for a hugely inefficient business. SAA next. Watch..

It is a very frustrating & depressing document to receive (I had mine in 2012 April) I don’t wish even my biggest enemy to get 1.MaAfrika never let that notice to derail your dreams.
SABPP1 Bad for the people being retrenched but good for Eskom. I read in the newspaper that they have even given retrenchment notices to executive staff.
