has previewed its G800 business jet, on sale from next year. The instrumentation includes a record 10 touchscreen displays and there’s a pandemic-friendly plasma-ionising cabin ventilation system.This doesn’t recycle and refilter, and is claimed to neutralise 99.9 per cent of airborne bacteria. But the biggest news is the G800’s range, a new high mark for the company. It will fly 14,816 kilometres non-stop at Mach 0.85. That’s about 1050km/h.

The G800 maxes out at Mach 0.925. It transports up to 19 passengers and the cabin can be divided into up to four living areas. And the price? The screen is gentle e-ink rather than harsh blue light, the body is polished aluminium with green key caps, and a leather case is included. It’s $US899 , compared with the latest-gen Freewrite at $US599.
