Without strong Canadian companies with the scale and scope to thrive in world markets, we cannot hope to be a strong competitive country with the high level of innovation, productivity, and good jobs.

While some foreign investment can help, it is really up to our own companies to deliver prosperity. That won’t happen if we rely on subsidizing foreign investment, without regard for Canadian enterprise benefits, and if we continue our policy that means almost all of our companies are for sale to the highest foreign bidder, writes David Crane.
