Alberta Energy Minister Sonya Savage says if Canada were to take similar steps, it would be considered an ‘extreme act of aggression’ against provincial constitutional authority

Alberta’s energy minister says anything resembling the U.K.’s so-called “windfall tax” on the profits of oil and gas companies must not be implemented in Canada.

So why does Governments give billions to oil companies, then tax consumers heavy at the consumption end. Sounds crazy to squander monies and penalize consumers.

Has anyone ever suggested theJagmeetSingh get some professional help? He is a whacky as they come.

Is the Conservative tactic to scaremonger about taxes that dont exist in Canada?

globebusiness It's a stupid idea that will make things much worse not better. Really stupid

Of course it is. Unless the government guarantees to cover all the oil companies costs next time oil goes to $10/bbl to keep them solvent. Greedy pigs like Jagmeet need to crawl back into their mud holes.
