TOKYO : Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said on Tuesday that he was concerned about recent sharp yen weakening and would appropriately respond to the exchange market moves if necessary.
Suzuki also told reporters that the government would compile urgent and comprehensive measures to help economy cope with persistent price hikes although details such as the timing and financing sources have not yet been decided.
