NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has suggested he’s confident the budget can help his government avoid the fate of the federal Liberals in the March state poll.
“But at the same time, I think the public across the state and across the country want a sense of positivity and vision moving forward,” he said. Perrottet defended the decision to hand former deputy premier John Barilaro a plum $500,000-a-year US trade commissioner post.
