Hays managing director Nick Deligiannis says the current skills shortage shows signing of persisting. A fast and tight recruitment process is also important. Anything that can be done to shorten the length of time from application to onboarding, while maintaining proper process, will help. Firstly, the expectation of it to be offered. Employees recognise the speed of change in the world and want to keep their skills up-to-date to stay relevant.
