Non-profit's executive director left a comfortable government job looking for community-oriented work

The last two years have been a bit bumpy, with COVID-19 keeping many regular vendors and shoppers away from the site. However, Anstey has witnessed a bit of a return in recent months to what it was like at the market before the pandemic. "We offer something that's fairly unique in that you can come here and you can try it out without having to spend thousands of dollars on a storefront and overhead and all of the things that go into having your own space on your own building," she explained."And then you can find out what works. You can build your customer base. You can really understand what sells, what doesn't, what people like and what they're not so keen on.
