Martin Shanahan, the outgoing chief executive of IDA Ireland, has been appointed as a partner at Grant Thornton Ireland, where he will take up a new role leading the firms industry and foreign direct investment activities.
Shanahan, who announced in July that he was stepping down as head of the state’s inward investment agency at the end of this year, will take up the new role with Grant Thornton Ireland in 2023.
