The Canadian dollar was trading nearly unchanged at 1.3480 to the greenback, or 74.18 U.S. cents, after touching its strongest level since Sept. 22 at 1.3463. Speculators have cut their bearish bets on the Canadian dollar for a third straight week, data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission showed on Friday. As of Nov. 1, net short positions had decreased to 17,649 contracts from 18,155 in the prior week.
