Quinte West OPP have laid charges after a theft at a business and the subsequent recovery of a stolen vehicle.It’s alleged that a male suspect entered the business on November 8 and failed to pay for over $600 in merchandise.

An investigation by police also alleges that the same suspect stole a license plate from a parked vehicle and was in possession of a vehicle reported stolen in Prince Edward County.37-year-old Michael Mowers of Belleville was charged with the following:Theft under $5000 – four countsThe accused was held in custody and scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on Tuesday.
