On Friday 11 November, media and wine industry stakeholders were invited to attend an early birthday celebration lunch held at Groot Constantia. Naudé says to best appreciate the potential it may hold, you need to compare it to another birthday that is celebrated across the globe. “According to the information at our disposal at this time, we are the only wine industry in the world that knows the exact date of our origin. For the time being, while other countries do not have that date yet, we’ve got the benefit of uniqueness. So let’s use it. Let’s take it abroad, and let’s run with it.”
To launch the event, Groot Constantia has made available a range of free promotional material, such as the SA Wine Birthday logo, press releases , photos and post ideas for social media.
