DDRB: Jones Bros. adaptive reuse up for final approval

adaptive reuse of the historic Jones Brothers furniture storeA seven-story, mixed-use building at the site of 502 and 520 N Hogan St. has been proposed at the .22-acre site, with 148 apartment units and 8,807 square feet of commercial space planned. The 502 Hogan St. building will be demolished.

The conceptual approval got the go-ahead from the DDRB in April. The major changes from that approval include i ncreasing apartments from 74 units to 148 units, increasing commercial exposure from 69% to 83% and changing from eight stories to seven stories. It is being developed by Corner Lot Development with additional work from Robbins Design Group, Bold Line Design and Halff Associates. The project includes a co-working office area, residential lobby, utility space and interior parking. The building was constructed in 1929, but has not been renovated since the 1980s.
