Games industry asks WHO to hold fire on 'gaming disorder'Video games are compelling, but does playing them too much constitute a medical ... Wow that's some image you used for this article.... I formally recognized it decades ago as another trait in addictive behavior. Transference one vice for another. You have to find an underlying disorder. Gaming addiction would be a symptom of something else (depression likely). If they kick the gaming addiction without treating the core issue they will move onto some other addiction that may possibly be as equally bad or worse.
