Its title:"Does Gender Matter?" when she learned about Barres. Green was leaning toward a series of stories"about people who do amazing things in history who people don't know about."In Barres' autobiography,"The Autobiography of a Transgender Scientist," Green found a story rich with struggles and victories, disappointments and dreams.
