Sun Cable, the company proposing a multi-billion dollar solar power export project, has entered voluntary administration. 9News

The company, which boasts high-profile investors including billionaires Mike Cannon-Brookes and Andrew "Twiggy" Forrest, said it had made the "difficult decision" to enter administration but has appointed new voluntary administrators.

FTI consulting executives Christopher Hill, David McGrath and John Park will take on the voluntary administration of the company. Billionaire investor Cannon-Brookes said the company has already achieved so much in the five years since it was founded and he will continue to fully support it.

Sound's like taxpayers money going straight to laundry washed and sent out clean

😂😂😂

Since this has been Sssssuch a successful project and case study on renewables, I wonder whether BOWEN will come to the rescue with MORE government funding to salvage this FAILED business model.

What a dystopian picture. Imagine the animals displaced for this, and it all goes to landfill in 10 years.

Coz solar is not sustainable unless government props them up.
