Federal department says 'just transition' document refers to industry size, not job loss
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said she had a "pit in her stomach" after a federal document was written about by three Alberta columnists, who suggested the "just transition" would cost hundreds of thousands of Canadians their jobs.
After they take several industries with very high paying blue collar jobs down to a tiny fraction of today’s scale, there won’t be nearly as many well paying blue collar jobs. Acceptable losses in somebody’s view.
