They can spend years tracking and documenting their favourite player’s every move. But what happens when that player gets traded?

Like everyone in the family, Josias Hernández had always believed that his cousin Teoscar Hernández was destined for greatness in baseball. Often these accounts have no direct affiliation with the player they promote, and many don’t last long. Some exist because of a player’s importance to a franchise they play for and will become less active or completely defunct when that player leaves the team.on Instagram, which was increasingly popular during the Japanese forward’s time with the Raptors, has not posted a single update since the 28-year-old was traded to the Brooklyn Nets last summer.

“I feel it is a kind of love that only they can feel,” he said. “It’s an amazing feeling and I’m sure he feels the same way.”
