Alan Pullinger, FirstRand’s CEO, says South Africa’s open support for Russia ‘could have extremely negative consequences for the country, which benefits far more from trade with and investment from the USA, UK and Europe than from Russia’.

FirstRand’s chief executive, Alan Pullinger, was harshly critical of the government when reviewing the outlook for the near to medium-term future. “The FATF [Financial Action Task Force] greylisting is unfortunate but not unexpected and we believe it is manageable.

He adds that the geopolitical risk facing South Africa and the banking sector is much more worrying, referring to the government’s open support for Russia, which is increasingly being called out by major trading partners. Pullinger said FirstRand’s results reflect the strong operational performances from the group’s customer-facing businesses — FNB, WesBank, RMB and Aldermore — and “demonstrate the size and quality of FirstRand’s transactional and deposit franchises, continued momentum in lending, and a better credit outcome than expected”.

It will never be worse than what your devils are doing to this planet!

Bye, bye west

GUARANTEED.....South Africa is the land of bad governance judgement !!

But the ANC got R15 M out of it according to what I've heard. I suppose that would be enough... The rest of the countries are not contributing to their pockets. So no loss... To them. Cry SA... Cry

Not only are SA being manipulated through the media, under attack economically but psychological too! Surface GOVT of Cyril we know but SA is a pvt CC owned & controlled. CORPORATION OF SOUTH AFRICA CIK: 0000932419 waging a PSYOP on SAcans. Who is doing business with Russia?

Everything US,UK and EU has had very disastrous consequences for SA and other African countries because they propped up puppet political leaders that were beholden to their corruption-prone system that maintains their divide-and-rule strategy of governance while they profit!

Wesbank is the largest financier of cars. I wonder what he thinks about Wesbank sales fuelled by corruption money. What a bag of wind he is. I wish Thabo was around to put him in he's place like Tony.

As a country we are behaving like a first class prostitute or a slay queen but as long as our needs are met everything goes 🤣🤣🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

The ANC has just got involved in mining deal with a Russian billionaire. They are not concerned whether there will be negative consequences. They are only interested in the money the ANC and senior members will make. SA future means nothing

Well when that coward president does things which don’t suit SANs but suits them they are quiet. They must just also zip it.
