Tailored skincare is the direction that many big beauty houses are going, with Armani’s latest skincare tech giving detailed skincare diagnosis in real time

Launching at VivaTech, the innovation summit for start-ups and leaders kicking off in Paris today, Armani beauty has unveiled their new Meta Profilertm, an in-store skin imaging diagnostic innovation that decodes the skin in high precision. A first for the brand, the new handheld device has ten times the magnification of the human eye and uses high-performance laboratory technology that diagnostics from over 20 clinical studies.

An in-store service that will take about 10 minutes, the results are used to create a tailor-made routine using Armani’s Crema Nera range, a luxury skincare range created by the beauty brand and containing their own “Reviscentalis” complex, which is aimed at skin regeneration using extracts from a plant living in extreme conditions. Customers will also be given a personalised Armani “Meta SculptTM boosting protocol” – essentially a signature facial massage technique which you can do at home.

The device’s skin capture and the questionnaire’s results are then combined, with the consumer presented with their “skin vital force index” and a summary of their skin’s strengths, priorities, and areas of focus, the idea being they can identify the skin's potential to revive and help to fight the ageing process from a visible point of view.
