A professor of business ethics, at the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State, Adewole Adeyeye,

has identified morality, good ethical, practices, strong legal framework as conditions for business prosperity and perpetuity.

He argued that most businesses in Nigeria were short-lived and unprosperous due to business people’s attitude toward cutting corners, with little or no regard for the law and business ethics.on Monday. The lecture was titled, ‘Morality in Business: that our business may truly prosper.’ Adeyeye said there was a need for the business owners in the country to consciously imbibe and integrate morality and other ethical values into their businesses if they must thrive and remain in business.

He said, “The relationship between ethics and business has long passed the stage of skepticism. There is no need to doubt the relevance of ethics in business because business and ethics are correlated.”All rights reserved.
