This adoption is not just a function of ease of use. It also reflects a growing trust by employees within the company that investments in AI tools and training will yield tangible benefits.
AI has rapidly risen to the forefront of management and popular conversation. Yet AI has bubbled around in the background for decades, mainly confined to data scientists' labs and Hollywood writers' imaginations. The turn of the century brought advances in telecommunication connectivity, data collection systems and processes, and data analytical tools, offering algorithmic advantages to large enterprises that invested early in AI.
This recent study concludes that these barriers have diminished. The research examined managerial perceptions of organizational AI readiness as influenced by investment beyond technology. The study found evidence that investing in AI knowledge, competence, and culture influences organizational readiness and intention to adopt AI strategically. The study looked across all sized organizations and found no evidence that the size of an organization impacted AI readiness or intention to adopt AI.
