[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened lower on Wednesday with investors discouraged by falls in US shares and eyeing news on US-China trade talks and Brexit negotiations.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.32 percent, or 69.31 points, to 21,656.97 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was down 0.19 percent, or 3.07 points, at 1,616.16.
