Carlsberg has cut all ties with its Russian business and refuses to enter a deal with Russia's government that would make Moscow's seizure of the assets look legitimate, the brewer's new CEO said, CNN reports.

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co said on October 11 it planned to sell its Russian operations to its local partner and withdraw from manufacturing there. Nissan began making SUVs in St Petersberg in 2009 and suspended manufacturing in Russia in March after the invasion of Ukraine. "We must now act in a way that allows us to protect the values and principles that our predecessors built up and be confident that we can pass them on to the next generation."Fashion giant H&M said it would close its businesses in Russia, in a move to cost $US200 million and 6000 jobs.

Lego said it would end its partnership with Inventive Retail Group which runs 81 shops on Lego's behalf, the BBC reports.Nike is making a full exit from Russian operations, three months after suspending their work there. Earlier this year IKEA temporarily closed stores and halted sourcing in Russia, as part of the multinational brand exodus.Global hotel chain Marriott International has suspended all of its operations in Russia amid the ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

Renault said it would sell its majority stake in Avtovaz, a Russian car company best known for its Lada brand, to a state-run research institute known as NAMI.Australian mining giant Rio Tinto has joined the chorus of corporations pulling out of Russian ventures as a result of the invasion of Ukraine.

As part of the move content and product licences will not be accessible in Russia, and other activities such as National Geographic magazine tours and local content productions will cease.
